In 2008, PCD had an opportunity to re-engage with the Villebois Community in Wilsonville. PCD’s founders previously worked with Rudy Kadlub of Costa Pacific Communities and Lee Iverson of Iverson Architects to help design an innovative community featuring residential neighborhoods, a viable commercial and employment core, an interconnected series of roads and trails, and connections to open spaces. A dedication to community-oriented design carried through planning, engineering, and construction, and we were excited to produce elements that connected residents with each other and their natural surroundings. With an emphasis on houses facing community green spaces and connectivity as a guiding design principle, this focus was carried through more than 14 years of work to complete the regional park system.
Kristina Koltavary, our Principal Landscape Architect, specifically focused on creating a balance and diversity of park types in her work throughout the community. PCD provided key input in the implementation of parks and trails connecting the community with each phase and this year’s completion of the parks system and trails was a milestone to celebrate.
