Here at PCD, we hold the value of service close to our hearts. From going above and beyond for our clients to hosting fun family events for our teammates, a commitment to serving our community and network is a core tenant all of us here at PCD hold. This last February, we were honored to be included among the volunteers at ReStore by Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They dedicate time and resources to create affordable housing for families and communities in need. ReStore is just one of the creative ways they have found to generate funds for their work. Donated materials for construction, furnishing, maintenance, and yardwork are sold out of their warehouse locations. These warehouses are volunteer-powered! With a few key staff to organize efforts, ReStores around the country rely on regular volunteers and groups like PCD to further their mission. We were thrilled to partner with ReStore and had a blast sorting donated items, building furniture, and pairing gloves together for selling near the register – a classic “impulse buy” that always sells out.
